Friendships change. Relationships become more complicated. Expectations change. We enter new environments, meet different people, misunderstand things, get things wrong and, hopefully, learn a little more about ourselves along the way.
I’m Tash, and Stepping Socially with Tash is a space for talking about the social side of growing up from childhood and adolescence through to young adulthood.
Here, I’ll be sharing helpful blogs, practical guides and resources for parents, children and young people. And when I have something I really want to talk about, there may be the occasional video too!
The things I share come from a mixture of personal lived experience and my professional background supporting children, young people and families. Over the years, I’ve seen how confusing the social world can feel when people are expected to simply know what to do without anyone taking the time to explain what is happening and why.
We’ll explore friendships, emotions, communication, confidence, independence, changing relationships and those unspoken social situations that can sometimes be difficult to make sense of.
Stepping Socially with Tash is about sharing ideas, starting conversations and making the social world a little easier to understand one step at a time.
